When Keisha Met Darrell: Jumping on the black relationship stereotype bandwagon

All right, so as anyone with a Facebook account and at least one black female friend can tell you, there has been a rash of stereotypical black relationship animated vids going around (Black Marriage Negotiations.)  And, of course, there’s more “Black women are wrong” than “Black men are wrong” ones out there.  So I decided to even the playing field…

Lady and Gentleman (b/c we all know I only have two readers!), I present to you a very stereotypical look at your average black woman encountering a black man at the club…

  1. Thanks for the vid! I agree, the stereotyping is nasty.

I’ve even seen people talk about how nasty it is in threads on Asian-American dating (quick recap: “no fair, white men taking our females”/”my white boyfriend didn’t take me from you, ordering me to date you doesn’t work”/”let Asian women date whoever they want and go date black women yourself! My black [girlfriend/lover/fiancée/wife] says more whites date black men the same way more whites date Asian women”). Then there’s the dude from Charlottesville, Va. commenting in the middle of http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2006/06/08/DI2006060800820.html

Oh, and I just saw this in my local paper and remembered this blog: http://www.boston.com/news/health/articles/2010/10/19/lawyer_octuplets_mom_implanted_with_12_embryos/

  2. “W*llow (Smith) is trending. And yes I put the asterisk b/c I’m a hater (on a 9 year old.) 18 minutes ago”

You are not a hater. Jennifer Petkov is a hater (and behold the progress of the thread at http://www.fark.com/cgi/comments.pl?IDLink=5677484&startid=63968943 …).
